The hotness

The animation was smooth, the violence and gore was fantastic. The ending was... chilling, but then again the choice of song also gave the film a terrifying undertone. And to everyone who probably said this was offensive (I didn't bother to read the reviews, but I'm just playing the odds here) you don't really see beyond the exterior. It's not offensive just because a skinhead is running around killing Mexicans. Seriously, look at the facts. This movie is just like "Desperado" only the protagonist has no hair instead of long flowing hero hair. And desperado was WRITTEN by a mexican. Or at least directed. Or maybe not. BUT... DESPERADO, man!

thanks for that

Groovy

It kinda reminded me of a Monty Python cartoon when that guy was hit by the car, and sure the sound was abysmal, but the rest wasn't bad.

Violet-AIM responds:

Alright, well I'll try to do the recording differently next time, maybe that might help. Thanks for the review Kurt_Reznor... I remember you, didn't you have a different name before?

But I like Marilyn Manson

I liked it ok. I'm a little surprised at what you can get away with on NG, but I got a good laugh out of it. Poor Manson...

Violet-AIM responds:

Get away with? lol I didn't think it was that bad, or maybe because I was part of it, so it didn't seem that way. I just tend to not take anything I see or make in flash too seriously. Thanks for the review.

This beat TFTD2 for second place today

But I still liked this movie, because it was pretty intelligent and kinda nice to watch. I loathe clocks, but the animation was crisp and clear. Smooth too. It also made me laugh a little, so I gave it points because it made me laugh a little. I thought it was neat anyway.

nef responds:

Hmm, I haven't seen that yet, will do now.. Thanks for the fair review, guess it goes to show you can't judge a movie by just it's characters, eh? Glad you enjoyed it.

Not bad, in fact I like it.

I think you really might be the only female on newgrounds who makes movies and who actually contributes to the portal and who really keeps up with everything. I give you major kudos for being a female writer, for writing a pretty decently intelligent story, and of course, for being a minority in this NG thing. The movie was good. Not great, but good. The artwork just doesn't seem to be original enough, and there were some parts that seemed to really drag on and on, making the story move too slowly. The voice quality wasn't so great either, but I'm not trying to insult you. I'm trying to tell you what you are doing wrong, so that you can use this advice to do better next time.

Violet-AIM responds:

Okay thanks for the constructive criticism. I'll do the best with what skills I have and try to improve where I can.

I really like Resevoir Dogs, too.

But I just couldn't watch the entire movie. I made it up to the donuts guy announcing the dance contest, and I just had to say "Look, I don't HAVE to watch this if it brings me pain when I see it." I think you should improve the style of the characters, work on background designs, use more gradients, and use more music to set atmosphere. You also need a new microphone and better voice actors. Avoid long pauses of silence, and don't tween so much. Have more action, a bit more weirdness, and I dunno, just make it look like something you'd want to watch yourself. I know my movie The Family House sucks. You don't have to tell me.

BonedBunny responds:

You closed it at the wrong bit dude! Theres another Resivoir dogs scene and something funny just at that very bit! I will be putting a special edition of The Dudes 2 on NG sometime this month.

Amazing

Besides all of those Xiao Xiao movies, this is the first film I've ever seen to feature sticks in 3D. The cinematography was great, and I loved the noir style of it. I didn't particularly care for that annoying tapping sound that plays throughout the entire thing, and I have to say that the alternate endings were too short to really have any kind of significance. Great stuff.

EliteNewbie responds:

i love noir, i am actually in the production of a noir film... watch out for it "REWIND"

Very not good

Come on, it didn't go anywhere, and the movie was too short to have a soundtrack. If you at least made the music stop when the movie stopped, then the filesize wouldn't be half as large as it is. Learn how to make a damn movie.

cheaterx51 responds:

Ok ok.

Thank you

Hey, I really like Doom too.

This movie just wasn't really all that special, and I read the first and second DOOM books, and I thought that they were sort of lacking in... everything. But you did what you could do, so I say Kudos for animating the story.

Flat-line responds:

Heh, thanks for the review. Though the only thing I based in my movie on the books was the names, I rather stick with the original plot of the game ;)

ALL MY 10 R BELONG TO THIZ!!!

That was the best thing I have ever seen. This housl be the best movie anyone has ever seen. I would watch it all day and all night but unfortunately I have to sleep and eat and go to the bathroom sometimes. Much fun.

Bomb-Clock responds:

You can eat sleep and poop while watching!

Me: Dave, if we don't start making funny, high-quality, and life affirming animation that gets us recognized, we are going to be stuck working at Wal Mart for the rest of our lives! Dave: We're Doomed...
